Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 8, 2026

PostMyCars is a Chrome extension made by WatchGrid Studio LLC, a Texas company (“we”). It helps car dealership salespeople post their dealership’s vehicles to Facebook Marketplace. This policy says what PostMyCars handles and what it does with it.

What PostMyCars reads and keeps

  • Dealership inventory. On a dealership’s own website, PostMyCars reads the vehicles the website lists: year, make, model, trim, mileage, price, colors and other details, the vehicle’s page address and its photo addresses. This is the same information the website shows every visitor.
  • What you posted. When you publish a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace after PostMyCars filled in the form, PostMyCars notes the vehicle’s VIN, the time, and the listing’s address, so it can show you which cars you have posted.
  • Cleaned photos. The vehicle photos after the dealership’s branding was removed (below), so the same photo is not sent again.
  • Your settings. Small preferences, such as whether the PostMyCars panel is minimized.

All of this is kept in your browser, on your computer, in the extension’s own storage. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, apart from the vehicle photos sent for cleaning.

What PostMyCars does on Facebook

PostMyCars fills in the fields of Facebook Marketplace’s vehicle listing form and attaches the vehicle’s photos. It does not click Publish; you do. It does not read your Facebook profile, friends, messages, or other listings, and it does not keep your Facebook login.

Photos, cleaned of dealership branding

When you click Post, PostMyCars sends that vehicle’s photos, as they appear on the dealership’s website, to our server. The server has a vision model from Google, reached through OpenRouter, point out the dealership’s name, logos and license plates in each photo; our server then paints them over and, for some photos, has a Google image model do it; the cleaned photos come back to your browser. Our server does not keep the photos. Google and OpenRouter handle them under their own privacy terms to make the cleaned copy. Nothing else is sent: not your Facebook account and not your browsing. As with any website, our hosting provider sees each request’s IP address and browser type and keeps them briefly in its logs.

This website

When you send a message through the form on this site, we receive what you typed and your email address, and we use them only to reply to you. This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics.

What PostMyCars does not do

  • It does not collect your browsing history. On websites that are not dealership websites it reads only enough to see that they are not, and keeps nothing.
  • It does not sell or rent any information, and shares nothing beyond the photos sent for cleaning.
  • It does not show ads or use analytics or tracking.

How long it is kept

Until you remove PostMyCars from Chrome, which deletes everything it kept.

Changes

When PostMyCars adds dealership accounts, some of this information will be stored with your dealership’s account so your manager can see posts and sold cars. We will update this policy before that happens, with the date at the top.
